Broole is built to keep your life on your iPhone. It has no ads, sells nothing about you, and tracks you nowhere. Here is everything that leaves your phone, and why.

What stays on your iPhone

Your notes, journal, voice notes, reads, goals, tasks, Health readings and everything the app's models make of them. The models run on your iPhone, and your pages never train them. Your age range, if you share it, stays on your iPhone too.

Your username

To use the Network, you choose a username and confirm it with Sign in with Apple. We keep your username, the public keys your iPhone made for it, when you made it, and a one-way digest of the identifier Apple gives us for you. That digest lets you have one username and take it to a new iPhone. We never see your email address or your phone number.

Apple's App Attest and DeviceCheck tell us a request comes from Broole on a genuine iPhone, and whether that iPhone already made a name this month. We keep the key App Attest vouched for, and Apple's word on whether your Apple Account looks real.

What you send to people you know

Meeting invites, notes, tasks, Shared Spaces and team edits are sealed on your iPhone for the people you send them to. We carry them, but we can't read them. We see who sent something to whom, when, and its size. We delete each one as soon as it's fetched, or after 30 days.

What you publish on Social

Posts, photos, voice notes, comments, loves and follows are published: the people you chose can see them, and a post for everyone can be seen by anyone who has its link. We keep them so we can show them, until you delete them. We also keep your picture, who can comment on your posts, the people you blocked, the reports you make, and the public subject your iPhone chose for each post.

To find posts you might like, we look at public acts only: posts loved and commented on by the same people as you. Your iPhone keeps the subjects you care about, and asks for them mixed with others at random, so we can't tell which are yours.

Before a post or a comment is published, an automatic check reads its words against Broole's rules. Cloudflare runs the check for us and, under its terms, doesn't use your words to train its models or improve its services.

Broole Plus

Apple handles your payment. We keep your subscription's transaction number and when it ends, so your posts show the gold tick and reach further. We never see your payment details.

Who runs it

The Network runs on Cloudflare, which carries its requests and stores its data. We use your internet address only to slow down anyone asking for too many usernames at once, and we don't store it.

Your choices

Delete any post or comment and it's gone from the Network; a shared link may show it for up to ten minutes. Turn Social off and your posts disappear from it. Delete your username under Settings › Network: it goes for good, and no one can ever take it; its keys, its link to your Apple Account, its picture, its follows and anything waiting for it go with it. The posts and comments you leave stay, so delete any you want gone first. Your Broole Plus subscription is Apple's to cancel, under Settings › your name › Subscriptions.

Children

Social is for people 18 and older.

When this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date below.
