Broole's rules

Broole is a place to share what you make, learn and care about. These rules keep it a place worth coming back to. They cover everything you post, comment and send on Broole.

Be kind

No hate and no harassment. Don't attack anyone for who they are: their race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or where they come from. Don't bully, threaten or pile on anyone.

Be real

No spam, no fake names, and no pretending to be someone else.

Respect other people

Share only what's yours to share. Don't post someone's private information, or their work as your own.

Keep it clean

No nudity and no sexual content.

No violence

No threats, and nothing that celebrates violence or helps anyone cause harm.

Protect children

Nothing that sexualizes or endangers a child, ever. We take it down at once and report it to the authorities.

When you see something wrong

Press and hold it and choose Report. When three people report a post, it waits until we look at it. A report about a child's safety holds it at once. We look at every report within a day.

When someone breaks these rules

We take the post down and tell its author. Break the rules badly, or again and again, and we suspend your name. If you think we got it wrong, write to us at emptybowlhere@gmail.com.

What we check

Your notes, journal and drafts stay on your iPhone, and no one checks them. What you publish to others passes an automatic check first. If the check thinks a post breaks these rules, it waits for one of us to look.

You must be 18 or older to use Social.
