Why Broole thinks on your iPhone

The Broole team · 8 October 2026 · 2 min read

Most apps that understand you send your words somewhere else to be understood. We decided early that Broole wouldn't.

Your iPhone is extraordinary. It has a Neural Engine and a graphics processor built for exactly this kind of work, and it's with you all day. So Broole brings its models to your phone, instead of bringing your life to ours.

What that means for you

  • It's private. Your notes are read where they live. They never become anyone's training data.
  • It's fast. There's no round trip to a data center. Ask, and Broole is already thinking.
  • It works anywhere. On a plane, underground, at the top of a mountain.
  • It's yours. Delete something and it's gone. Forget a whole subject, and Broole forgets it everywhere at once, and hands you a receipt.

What leaves your phone

Only what you choose to send: a post you publish, a package you share, a note you send to a friend. What you share with friends is sealed on your phone before it travels, so we carry it but can't read it. Broole also reaches out to fetch the articles and links you open, and to download its own models from Apple.

We think this is how personal software should work. It's certainly how Broole works.
